HOSEA 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”

This page is a helpful resource to quickly address common questions and provide clear information to correct where the enemy deceived people.

Why did my previous Deliverance not work at another church?  (…click to show more…)
  • Inexperienced Minister – If the minister lacks discernment, understanding, or is not operating under the guidance of the Holy Spirit but rather out of the flesh, the session will not be as effective. Demons are not Deaf and the Deliverance should be an encounter of Truth not Power. If a demon has legal rights it will stay, No Matter how load the minister screams at it, the minister might think it was cast out but instead it went into hiding inside of the person and will continue to torment the individual until it’s legal rights are removed.
  • Inadequate Preparation – Both the minister and the individual need to prepare spiritually. This might include prayer, fasting, and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
  • Lack of Faith – Faith plays a critical role in deliverance, both on the part of the minister and the individual.
  • Unconfessed Sin or Lack of Repentance – The demon(s) still have legal right to be in your life (legal rights were not broken off/renounced/unconfessed sin or lack of repentance)
  • Curses or Legal Rights – Demons may have legal rights to stay if there are Generational Curses, Soul Ties or Covenants that have not been renounced
  • Individual’s Will – Deliverance is not forced; it requires the individual to actively want freedom. If the person is not fully committed or willing to let go of demonic influences, the deliverance process Will Fail!
  • Spiritual Strongholds – Some individuals have deep-rooted strongholds (e.g., addictions, pride, fear) that require time, counseling, and deeper ministry to fully break; Strongholds are often tied to false beliefs or lies that need to be replaced with God’s truth
  • Unstable Spiritual Foundation – If the individual does not continue growing in their relationship with God through prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and accountability, the enemy may attempt to return
  • Timing in God’s Plan – Sometimes deliverance may not be immediate because God is working on deeper areas of the person’s life or testing their faith and obedience.
What is a Demon?  (…click to show more…)
  • In the simplest terms a demon is a person without a body.
  • These beings do not have physical forms, so they seek to inhabit bodies.
  • Demons crave a body to live in so they can carry out evil actions.
  • Paul describes the function of Satan’s kingdom in Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV): “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
  • They are not human, but they are still persons just without bodies, they have names, they have personalities, they get angry, sad, cry, laugh, and they have emotions.
  • We must remember they have been around for thousands of years and are much smarter than we are.
  • Bible scripture are unclear about the origin of demons, but most people, including many scholars, lean toward them being “Fallen Angels“.

What is Demon Possession vs. Demon Oppression?  (…click to show more…)
  • Demon Possession – Occurs when a demon inhabits and takes control of a person’s body, mind, or actions. It signifies a deep level of demonic control where the individual may lose their autonomy in certain areas of life. Possession only occurs when the person has not been filled with the Holy Spirit ! (No Salvation)
  • Demon Oppression – Occurs when a demon inhabits but the person retains their will. Oppression only occurs when the person has been filled with the Holy Spirit ! (Salvation)
What is a Curse (Do I have one)?  (…click to show more…)
  • In Hebrew, the word for curse is “Arur”, which carries “a sense of divinely imposed bad luck or misfortune,” or rather the unfortunate circumstance that befalls a person as a result of the Lord directly sending it your way.
  • What does this mean? It means that a curse is not a demon! Demons carry out the curse imposed by the courtroom of heaven, but they are not the initiators of it.
  • If this distinction isn’t made, we will wrongfully credit the devil for what irresponsible sinful behavior initiated
  • What is a biblical curse in a legal sense? A curse is a warranted verdict given by the courtroom of heaven against a person, household, or place that committed a transgression (willfully made the choice to do it) against God’s law.
  • Not every sin warrants a curse, but there are some that will. A curse is a divinely imposed judgment that causes misfortune in someone’s life.
  • Demons are enforcers of the curse, not the initiators of it. Demons can’t impose a curse on someone unless they have a legal right to do so. They carry out the judgment that the courtroom of heaven has sanctioned.
What is a Generational Curse (Do I have one)?  (…click to show more…)
  • A Generational Curse is a warranted verdict given by the courtroom of heaven against a household that committed a transgression against God’s law.
  • It’s basically the same as a curse, but instead of a person it’s against a family unit.
  • The only difference is that when God is cursing a household, the judgment keeps transferring down the bloodline until the demands of justice have been satisfied. In scripture it says this happens unto the third and fourth generation.
  • Deuteronomy 5 : 9-10 “…I am a jealous God, and I will bring the curse of a father’s sins upon even the third and fourth generation of the children of those who hate me”

  • Soul ties can be Positive (God-intended relationships) or
  • Soul ties can be Negative (Ungodly or Unhealthy attachments).
  • Biblical examples of Positive Soul Ties:

Do I need to be Baptized before I can be Delivered?  (…click to show more…)
  • No, you can receive Deliverance and then be Baptized afterwards
  • The Bible does not explicitly state that baptism is a prerequisite for deliverance. Deliverance, as understood in Scripture, is an act of God’s power and grace to set someone free from spiritual bondage, oppression, or demonic influence. Here’s a biblical perspective to guide you:
  • 1) – Deliverance Is Rooted in Faith and Authority – Deliverance in the Bible is based on faith in Jesus Christ and His authority over spiritual forces; (Mark 16:17) “These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons…”; Faith in Christ and invoking His authority is sufficient for deliverance, regardless of baptismal status
  • 2) – Baptism as an Act of Obedience, Not a Prerequisite – Baptism is a public declaration of faith and obedience to Christ, symbolizing spiritual cleansing and identification with His death and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4). It is important but not a prerequisite for receiving God’s intervention; Acts 10:44-48: The household of Cornelius received the Holy Spirit and showed evidence of God’s power before they were baptized
  • 3) – Jesus’ Ministry of Deliverance – Jesus delivered many people during His earthly ministry without requiring baptism first; Mark 5:1-20: Jesus delivered the demon-possessed man in the region of the Gerasenes, and there is no mention of baptism before or after the deliverance
  • 4) – Deliverance Can Lead to Baptism – Often, deliverance can result in a person coming to faith and then choosing to be baptized as an act of obedience and submission to Christ. Deliverance can prepare the heart for a deeper relationship with God
  • Conclusion – Baptism is a vital step in the Christian journey, but it is not a prerequisite for deliverance. What is essential is faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, and a willingness to walk in obedience to God. Deliverance is an expression of God’s mercy and power and can happen at any point in a person’s spiritual journey.
What is Mental Strongholds?  (…click to show more…)
  • Mental strongholds, according to the Bible, are patterns of thinking that are contrary to God’s truth and keep individuals in spiritual, emotional, or mental bondage. These strongholds can be deeply ingrained beliefs, lies, or attitudes that oppose God’s Word and hinder spiritual growth and freedom. The Bible addresses strongholds as areas where false reasoning, pride, or sinful habits dominate, preventing people from experiencing the fullness of God’s truth and freedom.
  • Definition and Origin – A mental stronghold is a fortress of thought built upon lies, fears, or deceptions. These can originate from trauma, cultural influences, or personal sin; (2 Corinthians 10:4-5) “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” This passage teaches that strongholds are rooted in arguments or pretensions that oppose God’s truth and need to be destroyed through spiritual warfare.
  • Examples of Mental StrongholdsFear: Persistent fear or anxiety not rooted in God’s promises; Unbelief: Doubting God’s Word or His goodness; Pride: Relying on human reasoning rather than submitting to God’s authority; Bitterness or Unforgiveness: Holding onto offenses and refusing to let go of hurt; Lust or Addiction: Allowing desires or habits to dominate one’s thoughts and actions.
  • The Battle of the Mind – Mental strongholds often manifest as repetitive thought patterns that align with the enemy’s lies rather than God’s truth. The battlefield is in the mind, where thoughts must be examined and aligned with Scripture; (Romans 12:2) “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Does my house need to be Spiritually Cleansed?  (…click to show more…)
  • Determining whether your house needs spiritual cleansing often depends on how you feel and what you perceive in your living space. Here are some questions and signs to consider:
  • Questions to Ask Yourself:
    • Spiritual Atmosphere: Do you feel a sense of heaviness, unrest, or oppression in your home?
    • Strange Occurrences: Have you noticed unusual or unexplained phenomena, like sudden cold spots, objects moving, or unsettling noises?
    • Conflicts or Stress: Have there been heightened conflicts, stress, or unease among family members?
    • History of the Property: Does the home have a history of spiritual activity, such as previous owners practicing occult activities, trauma, or unresolved issues?
    • Discernment: Do you or someone spiritually sensitive sense that the house feels “off” or lacks peace?
  • Biblical Basis for Cleansing:
    • In Scripture, believers are encouraged to ensure their homes honor God (Joshua 24:15, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”).
    • Acts 19:19 speaks of people destroying objects associated with occult practices as a way of renouncing past spiritual ties.
